Go to class, whether the professor takes attendance or not. It is easier to go to class than make up the work.

Go to professor's office hours.

There is more to a student's life than school. Practice self- care.

Time management is key! Start studying/homework early to avoid cramming the night before.

Check your school email daily.

Get involved on campus through clubs, organizations, or Greek life.

Get to know people in your classes in case you need to miss class.

Don't be afraid to ask for help! Reach out to professors or friends. Utilize the tutor/writing center if homework is tough.

Get to know your advisors! Their job is to keep your planning on track so you graduate on time.

Taking notes with pen and paper often helps students retain the information more than typing it.

Remember it is okay to not know everything. College is where you try different subjects and find your calling.

Annotating readings can help when going back to reference the passages.

Back up all of your files.

Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize!

Take advantage of school events! There may be free food!

Get enough sleep each night! All-nighters are a last resort.
