Santiago Canyon College Class Registration

Registration occurs online on a site called WebAdvisor. Both guests and students are able to access this site to view the full class schedule of a given semester, but only students can register.

Payment for classes must be PAID IN FULL within 3 days of registering into them online, or your classes will be dropped. The day you register counts as day 1, so you only have 2 more days afterwards to complete your payments.

Select the term (e.g. Fall, Spring, Summer) with the appropriate year and the location (e.g. Santa Ana College, Santiago Canyon College) BEFORE searching for subjects (e.g. English, Biology).

Registration Tips

1. Use a schedule planning website to plan out your semesterCoursicle is my favorite, and has helped me countless times throughout my undergrad. Here's the link: https://www.coursicle.com/college-schedule-maker/

2. Keep a record of your desired classes and their class numbers. You need to type in these codes on registration day, so copy pasting them or having them ready to reference saves time.

3. Talk with an academic adviser to ensure that you satisfy the prerequisites of your desired classes.

4. Mark your registration appointment on your calendar. Set an alarm or reminder a few minutes before so you have time to prepare yourself for any last minute changes (e.g. a class you wanted closing).

5. Even if you are on the waitlist for a class, email your professor to introduce yourself and show up to the first day of class. Other students who are enrolled may not show up, so that's your chance to snatch yourself a seat! (This method has gotten me into so many classes that, as a freshman, I was highly unlikely in enrolling into due to my later registration period compared to upperclassmen).

6. Registration can be an extremely stressful time for any college student, regardless of class standing. I promise that things will work out, even if plans A and B are unsuccessful. It is up to you to talk with an academic adviser to figure out alternatives that will ultimately help you achieve your academic goals.
